How long do I have to wear my retainer?
Every patient is different, but the honest answer is: as long as you want your teeth to stay straight. Most patients start with more frequent wear right after treatment and taper to nights over time, Dr. Bowman will give you a wear schedule matched to your treatment, and a bonded retainer can take remembering out of the equation entirely.
I lost (or broke) my retainer, what do I do?
Call us at 850-863-2122 or request a visit, the sooner you replace it, the less your teeth can drift. We’ll take a quick iTero digital scan (no goopy impressions) and make you a new retainer, even if you finished treatment years ago or your original retainer was made by another office.
Do you make custom sports mouth guards?
Yes, we make custom sports/mouth guards from a digital scan of your teeth, so they fit far better than boil-and-bite guards from the store. They’re a smart add-on for athletes in braces and for anyone protecting a newly straightened smile.
